As a young pup, Azula had tons of energy in the middle of winter so being outside for long walks was not for me. Instead, I set up a little course of obstacles in the backyard. I taught her how to jump using her favorite toy, and she fell in love! Short spurts outside were enough to keep her mind engaged and tire out her body so she could be content inside the house. Now at four years old, she grows excited anytime she stumbles across an agility course. She even enjoys the challenge of going through tunnels, climbing up walls or steps, and crawling underneath obstacles.
